New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily stopped an important feature that allows you to change the address of your Aadhaar card's address with no identification document.

UIDAI permits those who have Aadhaar cards to change their address without the need for any documents. Aadhaar cardholders can change their address if they accept the authenticity for the verification of address. An address verifier could be a close friend, relative or landlord who permits the Aadhaar card holder to utilize their address for proof.

UIDAI has now halted this feature. UIDAI was notified by an Aadhaar Card Holder by tweeting that the capability to change the address on the Aadhaar Card via an Address Validation letter is no longer available. UIDAI has asked that the Aadhaar issuer to remind the user of the possibility to update their address using a current PoA document.

Dear Resident Please note that the addresses Validation Letter service has been removed until the next notice. Kindly request your address update using another valid PoA document from the list https://t.co/BeqUA0pkqL
